With just a little over a month before the start of the season at New Egypt Speedway on April 13th, the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series would like to introduce this year's "Tri-State Championship" series, which will be an opportunity for teams to earn extra cash and a title of "State Champion" based on their loyalty and performance at race tracks in the great states of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania!
"With MASS visiting so many different tracks ranging in the Tri-State area, we thought it would be a great idea to incorporate a 'sub-championship' point series in addition to the overall points title, to give guys that may not run the full schedule the opportunity to win something at the end of the season at the 2019 Awards Banquet," says Eddie Wagner, Regional Director of MASS.
At the end of the season, each State Champion will earn $500 in addition to their title, with the runner up earning $300, $200 going to 3rd, and the remaining $1000 will be split up amongst the drivers who made it to every race in that state.
Sponsoring each state will be the Delaware Auto Exchange for the state of Delaware, Bethman's Auto Center representing Pennsylvania and Snow's Sealcoating claiming sponsorship for the champion of the great state of New Jersey.
