ALL ROADS LEAD TO BRIDGEPORT: RON FAISON MEMORIAL SPRINT CAR NATIONALS WEEKEND HAS ARRIVED

(August 30, 2026):  The long-awaited 305 Sprint Car Nationals are coming to Bridgeport Motorsports Park on Labor Day weekend!  The Ron Faison Memorial Weekend features the two-day Sprint Car Nationals on Friday, Sept. 4 & Saturday, Sept. 5, hosted by Bridgeport Speedway and sanctioned by the very successful DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capital Renegade as part of their 10th anniversary season. 

Friday night will be The Prelude to the Nationals, with a 25 lap feature event locking 4 drivers into the Nationals A-Main on Saturday. Saturday evening will be the Ron Faison Nationals 50-lap championship event paying a whopping $4000 to win & $350 to start, making it one of the largest paying events for the 305 sprint cars on the east coast this year! 

Qualifying for the weekend will be determined differently than other series events. Both nights will use a point system for both Time Trials and Passing Points in the heat races. Time Trial points will be 130 for fast time, and will go down by 2 pts for each position behind that. Passing Points will be determined using a table based on starting and finishing position.  This table will be posted in the MASS trailer prior and throughout both nights of the Nationals.  

On Friday, these points will be added together to determine the top qualifiers out of the heat races. The top 10 drivers in these points will be redrawing for the first 10 starting positions in the feature. 11th thru 20th will start respectively in those positions, with those drivers outside of the top 20 starting heads up by points in the B-Main. 

The top 4 finishers in Friday night’s Preliminary 25 lap feature will all lock into the 50-lap Nationals on Saturday. The top 2 finishers will automatically go into the redraw on Saturday without having to attempt to qualify.  The third and fourth place finishers will be guaranteed to start in the top 20 on Saturday. Those two drivers will attempt to qualify on Saturday, but will be guaranteed at least the 19th and 20th starting positions if their attempt fails to put them in.  

Saturday night’s qualifying will be the same format as Friday, but with the top 8 in points joining the first 2 finishers from Friday in the redraw for the first ten starting positions. 9th thru 16th in points will start 11th thru 18th. The 3rd and 4th finishers from Friday will start 19th and 20th, unless they have qualified higher. If this happens we will use the next driver in points to fill the top 20.      

Both nights Time Trials will be done in groups as Timed-Dashes. The fast-timer will roll for an invert of between 4 and 8, which will decide the amount of cars inverted in each heat race starting lineup. 

The B-Mains each night will be lined up in order of points for all cars not qualifying in the top 20.       

All this action takes place at Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, NJ on Friday Sept. 4th and Saturday Sept. 5th. Both nights the Pit gate opens at 4pm, the Grandstands at 5pm, & Warm-ups at 6pm.  

All of the normal contingency awards will also be offered each night.
