CODY WEST RULES THE NIGHT AT GEORGETOWN; POCKETS $1,000 IN DELAWARE DOUBLEHEADER OPENER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE………
(Oct. 9, 2026): Cody West of Boyertown, PA captured his first win of 2026 on Friday at the Georgetown Speedway. West took the lead on a lap #2 restart and drove to his second series win of his career in the DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series presented by Capitol Renegade. West pocketed $1000 for the win courtesy of Betts Garage Towing and Hauling.
“We definitely enjoy coming to Georgetown as we are always fast here,” stated West in victory lane referring to his previous best finish was a second here at Georgetown, “The track was excellent tonight and I want to dedicate this race to my car owner Fred Kennedy who is currently in the hospital.”
West became the 9th different winner in as many events at Georgetown in the history of the series.
The winner last month here, Ryan Stillwaggon, brought the field to the green with West challenging immediately. The two raced side by side for the first two laps, when the first caution appeared for third place running Zach Fields as he slowed on the front stretch. Fields kept running and restarted at the rear. Stillwaggon chose the outside for the restart as West got a great run on the inside to grab the lead in turn two. Point champ Troy Betts, the winner here back in May, moved into third and by lap 5 was challenging Stillwaggon for second. Eddie Wagner was up to fourth with Dave Brown already into the top 5 from 11th starting position. West pulled away as Betts took over second and tried to hunt down West. However West was the fastest car on this night as he pulled away over the final 5 laps. Brown got by Wagner with five laps to go, as West moved into heavy lapped traffic. West went on to win his second career MASS feature over Betts by almost 2 seconds, followed by Stillwaggon, Brown and Eddie Wagner.
The All-State Auto Glass heat races were won by West and Stillwaggon. Shelby Kelly captured the Next Generation Construction fastest lap in hot laps with a time of 17.369 seconds.
The MASS Sprint Car Series is back in action tonight, Oct. 10th at the Middleford Speedway in Seaford Delaware, with Betts Garage Towing and Hauling sponsoring the $1000 to win event and also putting up a $500 bonus for the best average finish for the two night weekend here in Delaware. Pit gates open at 4pm, Grandstands at 5pm, with Hot laps at 6:45pm and racing to follow.
