Troy Betts went wire-to-wire to win the 25-lap Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature at Bridgeport Speedway, holding off Eddie Wagner, Tim Iulg, Ryan Stillwaggon, and Buddy Schweibinz. The victory marked Night Two of the Double Header Weekend and extended Betts’ lead in both the Overall Points Standings and the Betts Garage Towing & Hauling Diamond Double Header Series, presented by Professional Design Services.

Starting alongside Betts on the front row, Wagner kept the pressure on the Middletown, DE native with repeated challenges for the top spot, but in the end, he finished just 0.0162 seconds shy of the win.

"The car was good the first half of the race," Betts said post victory lane, "but as the laps clicked off, I started to hear Eddie behind me, so I knew he was coming".

Both Wagner and Betts recorded identical quick times in the feature — 15.327 seconds, each set on lap 14.

Betts, who earned his first career Sprint Car victory last season at New Egypt Speedway, captured his first Bridgeport Speedway feature win in June and has continued to post strong finishes with the highly competitive Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series in 2025.

The feature was interrupted twice on lap nine. The first caution came when Andrew Turpin spun in turn four. On the restart, Jared Kreider was caught in a three-wide battle entering turn one, flipping hard along the catch fence before being struck by the 7S of Ryan Schultz. Both drivers walked away, though Kreider was later taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

This marked Betts’ second win of the season, in a year that has seen 13 different winners across 15 events. He becomes just the second driver in 2025 to score multiple victories, joining DJ Tanner of Warminster, PA.

The series will be off next weekend but returns to action on Saturday, August 23rd at Bridgeport Speedway. Only four Overall Points races remain before the champion is crowned at Delaware International Speedway on September 20th.
